Booost to Host EU CBAM Compliance Webinar

Booost Inc., a leader in sustainability ERP solutions located in Shinagawa, Tokyo, will hold an online informative session concerning compliance with the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on December 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event is part of a larger initiative facilitated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry aiming to advance decarbonization within the manufacturing sector.

Background on CBAM

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is an innovative regulatory system implemented by the EU to address the issue of carbon leakage, which occurs when companies relocate production outside of the EU to evade stringent carbon regulations. The mechanism imposes duties on specific imported products with high carbon emissions, beginning with a transitional reporting phase that started in October 2023. Under CBAM, importers are required to report the carbon emissions associated with their goods, and starting January 1, 2026, this monitoring will extend to commodity imports like screws and bolts. A critical component of this compliance includes the reporting of verifiable emissions data.
