Maktar Animal Fair: Supporting Animal Welfare

From September 8 to October 9, 2025, Maktar Inc., a company based in Shibuya, Tokyo, organized the 'Maktar Animal Fair - Bringing Happiness to All Dogs and Cats' through its official online store. A portion of the proceeds from this initiative is being donated to the Animal Fund (公益財団法人どうぶつ基金), supporting efforts aimed at eliminating the euthanization of stray dogs and cats.

The Maktar Animal Fair, inspired by the passion of our pet-loving employees, aims to create a positive social impact through customer purchases. The Animal Fund, our selected beneficiary, is dedicated to promoting neutering and improving animal welfare. The funds raised are crucial in supporting the Fund's initiatives.

Celebrating Pets and Community Engagement

As part of the fair, customers had the opportunity to take advantage of discounts on popular smartphone backup products from the Qubii series. Additionally, we held a social media campaign named '#MaktarPetChallenge', inviting our community to share photos of their beloved pets, showcasing the strong bond between humans and animals.

Maktar employees, primarily animal lovers, have a deep consideration for co-existing with animals. In a recent event, one of our team members rescued an injured kitten near our Taiwan headquarters. The entire team came together to care for the kitten, and today, it has fully recovered and has become a cherished part of the office environment.

The kitten, now quite grown, patrols the Maktar office daily, bringing joy and comfort to all employees who find solace in its presence. This collective love for animals and the commitment to social responsibility illustrate how Maktar operates—integrating care for society and its well-being alongside its business practices.
