Midea Unveils Cutting-Edge Heating and Energy Solutions at Chillventa 2026

At the recent Chillventa 2026 trade show, held from October 13-15 in Nuremberg, Germany, Midea proudly presented an array of innovations focused on indoor heat pumps, cold climate heating, and smart home energy management. The event proved to be a significant platform for Midea, as they garnered two prestigious Euromonitor awards, recognizing them as the world's leading company for residential inverter air conditioners and R290 air conditioners for the fourth successive year. Ralph Kobsik, General Manager of Midea Europe GmbH, received these accolades on behalf of the company.

Innovations Presented at Chillventa 2026

One of the standout products showcased was Midea's H-Pack, a revolutionary indoor heat pump system created by their European research and development team. This innovative solution eliminates the necessity for an outdoor unit, addressing various installation challenges faced in Europe, such as noise concerns, space limitations, and building regulations. Its modular design facilitates easier installation and maintenance, while remote diagnostics help decrease the number of service visits. The H-Pack is compatible with both all-electric and hybrid operations, making it versatile for different household needs. Attendees were particularly impressed by the case studies presented, highlighting the system's adaptability in various real-world installation scenarios across Europe.

Alongside H-Pack, VitaBreeze was another highlight of Midea's booth. This advanced system features AirGrid technology, which allows users to visualize airflow using a smartphone, directing it exactly where needed. Notable features include wide-angle air distribution, intelligent occupancy sensing, and the latest Breezeless Pro technology, boasting a 30% larger air outlet area. Additionally, the ClimaBalance humidity control ensures a comfortable indoor climate, while the ECOMASTER 2.0 predictive algorithm optimizes energy usage efficiently.

In the premium split air conditioning segment, the Raynor model captured attention, combining top-of-the-line cooling and heating efficiency with award-winning design accolades from both the iF Design Award and the German Design Award. Engineered for Nordic climates, the Raynor Pro operates effectively at temperatures as low as -40°C, offering 100% heating output even at -25°C. Midea also highlighted the PortaSplit, which generated significant interest through live demonstrations depicting practical European window installations. This system emphasizes flexible deployment and reduced noise levels, supporting a simplified installation process that can lower overall installation costs. Anticipation is building as PortaSplit is set to adopt R290 refrigerant in 2027.

Midea's MHELIOS was another innovative solution on display, serving as a whole-home energy management system that enhances energy storage and consumption optimization based on fluctuating electricity pricing. This system not only helps households lower their energy bills—evidenced by a German case study showing annual savings of approximately €1,866 for a home consuming 10,800 kWh—but also improves grid efficiency by integrating the management of electric vehicle chargers, heat pumps, solar systems, and energy storage.
