The Second NSBT Japan Innovative Tour 2025

The Japan Security Business Innovation Association (SBIJ), based in Toshima, Tokyo, is set to host the second installment of the NSBT Japan Innovative Tour on November 20-21, 2025, in Fukuoka Prefecture, including locations such as Hakata City, Chikujo Town, and Kitakyushu.

This event aims to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors within the field of security through hands-on experiences. On the first day, attendees will participate in the “Self-Defense Forces Needs Forum,” allowing representatives from various companies to understand the current needs and equipment trends within the security sector. The following day will feature on-site visits to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force base and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force stationed facilities, giving participants a direct look at the operational realities and equipment in use.

• - Site visit slots (40 participants): Deadline is October 24, 2025.
• - Forum only participation: Registration is open until two days prior to the event. We encourage early registration to ensure your spot.

Purpose of the Event

In today’s rapidly changing security landscape, public-private partnerships have never been more crucial. This tour serves as an opportunity for private sector participants to gain firsthand insights by visiting air and ground self-defense facilities, thereby facilitating discussions on how sustainability between corporate environments and security needs can be effectively achieved.

The inaugural event held in January 2025 attracted about 45 organizations, yielding notable outcomes:
