ZTE's 2026 Broadband User Congress in São Paulo Focuses on Intelligent Monetization Strategies
ZTE's 2026 Broadband User Congress: Monetizing Intelligent Broadband
On May 13, 2026, ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, successfully held its much-anticipated Broadband User Congress in São Paulo. This event focused on the theme "Monetize Your Intelligent Broadband" and was attended by over 300 leaders from ISPs, operators, governments, industry associations, and ecosystem partners across Latin America.
The discussion aimed to address key challenges in reducing network costs, enhancing operational efficiency, and innovating home services. ZTE showcased an array of intelligent solutions designed to help operators and ISPs transition beyond traditional pipeline models. Through these innovations, companies can expect to boost their average revenue per user (ARPU), diversify their income streams, and reshape their competitive strategies.
ZTE's senior vice president, Fang Hui, emphasized the company's long-standing commitment to the Latin American market, stating, "With over 20 years of presence in Latin America, ZTE has delivered hundreds of groundbreaking projects, serving over 100 million users in Brazil. We aim to enhance premium experiences through technological innovation, unlock growth potential via win-win partnerships, and facilitate industrial transformation with AI. By leveraging our full 'Connectivity + Computing' capabilities, we are dedicated to establishing an open, intelligent digital ecosystem to create new value with our Latin American partners."
During the congress, ZTE presented cutting-edge concepts for network management and an upgraded portfolio, translating the event's theme into actionable and lucrative practices. ZTE's commitment to broadband network deployment means that every customer will receive an optimal broadband infrastructure tailored to their needs.
In terms of access solutions, ZTE's FTTx monetization addresses implementation barriers through lightweight Optical Line Terminals (OLTs). They apply Customer Experience Management (CEM) enhanced by AI for precise quality analysis and targeted marketing strategies. The approach also expands into the B2B sector by introducing AI all-optical campus networks and AI Interactive Flat Panels. This strategy aims to balance cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and ARPU growth through comprehensive intelligent end-to-end Optical Distribution Networks (ODN).
On the transport front, ZTE launched a C+L full-band 1.6T Optical Transport Network (OTN) solution enriched with AI, which promises breakthroughs in single-wavelength rates, spectrum efficiency, and intelligent Operations Management. The new tools are designed to offer scalability, cost reductions, and flexible service options.
Additionally, ZTE introduced a 28.8 Tbps core router with single-slot capabilities, complemented by robust 100GE/400GE aggregation routers. This equipment enables operators to build next-generation IP networks that are green, secure, and intelligent, laying the foundation for enhanced broadband value upgrades.
When it comes to smart operations, ZTE’s AIOps platform significantly streamlines fault diagnosis efficiency, leading to lower operational expenditures and facilitating the evolution toward autonomous Level 4 networks. For home broadband, ZTE continues to innovate by utilizing powerful technologies alongside continuous AI advancements to secure optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
ZTE's AI Wi-Fi 7 underpins the smart connectivity strategy. It leverages its specifications, coverage, control capabilities, hardware, software, and supply chains to help operators fine-tune TCO and make precise tech selections. Similarly, value-added services for smart homes integrate extensive capabilities, including AI operations management, AI cameras, and AI Smart Views, facilitating a seamless user experience that incorporates smart control, fitness, entertainment, and security, thereby transitioning from basic connectivity to high-quality services.
The SCP platform enables uniform home device management, featuring remote diagnostics, one-click optimizations, locking of stolen devices, and targeted value-added services marketing. This innovation helps drive down operating costs, stabilize revenues, and establish effective systems for sustainable monetization.
ZTE empowers ISPs to enhance their income through light implementation and converged efficiencies. Lightweight Passive Optical Networks (PON) facilitate rapid, cost-effective network setups, significantly reducing time to market. The lightweight OTN boasts a 12.8T-in-2U high-density design alongside user-friendly management, supporting single-wavelength 1.6T, zero-touch implementation, and plug-and-play capabilities, which in turn minimizes costs and operational complexities, resulting in optimal TCO.
The lightweight IP Network offers seamless end-to-end IP convergence from Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) to backbone infrastructure. This infrastructure is designed on a uniform open architecture, smooth product evolution, and AI-driven minimal management, facilitating heterogeneous network integration and reinforcing ISP operations.
During the event, ZTE launched the next-generation TV 3.0 set-top box, marking a new chapter in the digital television upgrade journey in Brazil. Collaborative innovations with MediaTek introduced cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 and 10G PON solutions for premium home and SME scenarios, enabling operators to tap into valuable user markets. Moreover, Qualcomm and ZTE are working together on next-generation network infrastructure tailored for the AI era, merging Qualcomm's AI-native Wi-Fi and FWA platforms with ZTE's leadership in access and networking capabilities.
Lu Maoliang, chairman of ZTE Brazil, remarked, "Brazil is a core strategic market for ZTE. With 25 years of localized operations in Latin America, we have served over 100 operators and ISPs, rolled out more than 60,000 kilometers of fiber optics, and reached over 30 million households. This congress responds directly to local needs, providing leading-edge technologies and products while also aiming to boost sustainable commercial success for our clients."
