BittWare Unveils Early Access for 3U VPX Cards with AMD Ryzen Technology
BittWare Unveils Early Access Program for 3U VPX Cards
BittWare, a subsidiary of Molex with a rich legacy in embedded computing, recently announced an initiative to fast-track the development of advanced systems tailored for aerospace and defense applications. This comes in the wake of their introduction of cutting-edge 3U VPX cards powered by AMD's latest Ryzen Embedded processors and Versal Adaptive SoCs.
With the launch of this early access program, selected customers will receive information that is not publicly available, thus positioning them at the forefront of emerging technologies in embedded systems. The focus lies on optimizing performance while adhering to stringent requirements concerning size, weight, and power (SWaP), crucial for mission-critical processes across avionics, radar, and intricate signal processing.
Enhancing Embedded Solutions
The new cards integrate AMD's Ryzen Embedded technology and the Versal RF Series, paving the way for a significant upgrade in data acquisition and multi-sensor processing capabilities. Such advancements are essential for applications involving real-time data processing, including radar synchronization, sensor fusion, electronic warfare, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Craig Petrie, Vice President at BittWare, expressed enthusiasm about the new card lineup, stating, “We are thrilled to boost the performance of embedded systems within the aerospace and defense sectors with our latest offerings. By combining BittWare's proven design expertise with AMD's technology leadership, we provide customers with comprehensive, interoperable solutions meeting the demanding needs for rugged and reliable performance.”
As BittWare continues its focus on high-performance commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, the new 3U VPX cards adhere to both the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) and VITA 48 standards. These frameworks outline mechanical specifications aimed at shaping and cooling robust electronic modules for embedded systems. This ensures that BittWare's products not only meet but surpass industry standards, further establishing their credibility as a leader in the field.
Invitation for Early Access
BittWare invites stakeholders in the VPX ecosystem to apply for early access to these revolutionary cards before they become widely available. Participants in this program will gain invaluable insights into technical aspects, product roadmaps, and opportunities to engage directly with experts involved in next-gen product development.
In a connected update, Molex has introduced the AirBorn 3U VPX Power Supply, specifically designed to function seamlessly in demanding conditions while unlocking additional capabilities for aerospace, defense, and even commercial deployments. This new solution complements BittWare’s 3U VPX offerings, ensuring clean power delivery while maintaining robust operational standards indispensable in compact environments.
Both BittWare and AirBorn will showcase these innovations at the upcoming MOSA Industry Government Summit and Expo scheduled for August 27-29 at National Harbor, Maryland, where attendees can expect live demonstrations and further insights into their next-gen technologies.
Molex maintains a significant global footprint, offering transformative technical innovations across diverse sectors, including consumer devices, data centers, cloud solutions, telecommunications, and healthcare. This makes their products pivotal in shaping a better connected world. Ultimately, with the introduction of the new 3U VPX cards and robust power supplies, BittWare and Molex are set to enhance the landscape of aerospace and defense technologies, pushing boundaries while delivering on the promise of reliability and performance.
