Ray-Ban Shibuya Store Transformation
On March 20, 2026, the
Ray-Ban Store Shibuya, the first flagship store of Ray-Ban in Japan, will unveil its transformation with a fresh concept titled
“RE:BORN”. Originally opened in 2018, this store has been a beloved destination for fans and now aims to provide a unique brand experience and innovative services.
Ray-Ban, known for its cutting-edge lens technology and frame design, embraces a philosophy centered around timeless style and innovative thinking. Reflecting Japanese design elements such as tatami-inspired lighting and wooden floors that evoke Zen, the reimagined store also integrates advanced technology through digital screens and original lighting, creating a harmonious blend with Shibuya’s modern urban atmosphere.
New Premium Experience and Services
As part of its renewed focus on premium brand experiences, the Shibuya store will introduce an
Engraving Service. Customers can personalize their eyewear or cases with original designs selected from a wide array of icons and fonts, all done on-site. Furthermore, a maintenance service for eyewear, which includes simple repairs and cleaning, will also be available.
To celebrate the grand reopening, Ray-Ban has partnered with renowned Japanese artist
MHAK. This collaboration combines MHAK's distinctive visual style with the “RE:BORN” theme, including unique artwork that captures the essence of the store relaunch. On the opening day, MHAK will host a
live painting event that invites the public to watch the creation of art inspired by Shibuya’s vibrant environment. This artwork will then be showcased on the store’s facade.
Not only will visitors to the opening day receive a
special sticker featuring MHAK's original design, but those who make purchases will also receive a
tote bag or artwork—all available for a limited time and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Exclusive Preview Event for Ray-Ban Members
As a lead-up to the grand reopening, an exclusive preview event for Ray-Ban Members’ Club will be held on March 19. Limited to only 60 lucky participants, this special event will feature live window painting by MHAK, giving guests a unique opportunity to interact with the artist and receive exclusive gifts. This preview event underscores Ray-Ban's commitment to creating premium experiences for its customers.
