Tokyo's 'Children's Metropolitan Monitor' Recruitment
In a significant step towards fostering a child-centric society, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced the launch of the 'Children's Metropolitan Monitor', aiming to engage young voices in policymaking. This initiative emphasizes the importance of including children's perspectives in the development and refinement of local policies, ensuring that their needs and opinions are taken into account.
Overview of the Program
The 'Children's Metropolitan Monitor' program is designed to gather insights from children and their parents through a series of web-based surveys focused on Tokyo's policies. The initiative will run several times during the monitor’s term, offering a unique opportunity for children from kindergarten through high school to shape policy decisions that affect them directly.
Duration of Monitoring
Selected monitors will participate in this program until February 28, 2025. This term will provide ample time for substantial engagement with various policy issues affecting young people in the city.
