The Toy Association's New Toy Building to Open in El Segundo: A Hub for Global Toy Showrooms

The Toy Association Unveils 'The New Toy Building' in Los Angeles

The Toy Association™ has announced the opening of 'The Toy Building' in El Segundo's vibrant Toy District, scheduled for August 1, 2025. This exciting initiative invites toy organizations from around the world to establish their unique year-round showrooms in a prime location tailored to meet the needs of the toy industry.

An Ideal Location

Nestled at 101 Continental Blvd., the new showroom space comprises four fully renovated floors featuring a total of 65 premium showrooms. This strategic location places companies within a stone's throw of major global toy manufacturers, making it an ideal hub for networking and business meetings, especially during the busy fall and spring buyer seasons.

Greg Ahearn, the Toy Association's President & CEO, shared his insights about the vision behind 'The New Toy Building.' He emphasized that the space, designed by toy people for toy people, aims to deliver not only a competitive advantage in location but also premium amenities and facilities that align with the industry's dynamic needs. With this project, the Toy Association seeks to create an atmosphere conducive to fostering relations, networking, and boosting business growth in 2025 and beyond.

Designed for Networking

The thoughtfully planned interiors will not only host showrooms but also feature private meeting rooms, lounges, and comfortable courtyards to facilitate relationship-building among key stakeholders, including buyers, media, and toy industry professionals such as inventors and designers. Greg Ahearn noted, "This goes beyond providing premium showroom space—this is about crafting an experience that fosters business collaboration and creative exchanges."

In the spirit of New York City's original Toy Building, which has served as a cornerstone for the toy industry, the new El Segundo location is equipped for 'casual collisions' that encourage spontaneous networking and ignite creativity among industry players. With a focus on convenience and effectiveness, the 'The Toy Building' aims to support productive business meetings while sprinkling in the fun and excitement that defines the toy industry.

Expanding Opportunities

In collaboration with both domestic companies and the International Toy Board, the Toy Association has already scheduled the LA Fall Preview for September 8 to 19, 2025. During this two-week market promotional period, 'The Toy Building' will host a flurry of activities, including networking events, educational sessions, and opportunities for philanthropy—all aimed at uniting the vibrant global toy community.

Showrooms are expected to fill quickly, as they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each suite ranges in size from 475 to 1,920 square feet, with longer leases from three to five years available. Companies looking to enhance their product displays while also exploring various design options will find flexible solutions that cater to diverse budgets and creative needs.

For businesses interested in securing a showroom space at 'The Toy Building,' further details can be found on The Toy Association's official website. Tours of the facility can be arranged with Andy Keimach, a special advisor to the association’s president.
