The new plan marks a pivotal moment in Cascades' ongoing dedication to sustainable practices. With insights gathered from employees, customers, and partners, this comprehensive document outlines various commitments designed to foster positive impacts across the entire value chain. Among its 18 commitments and 10 measurable goals, Cascades aims to:

• - Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Aligning with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Cascades strives for significant cuts in greenhouse gas emissions not only within its operations but throughout its supply chain.
• - Sourcing from Well-Managed Forests: The company prioritizes transparency and sustainability in its sourcing practices to ensure that its virgin fiber is sourced from forests that are responsibly managed and do not contribute to deforestation.

In conjunction with the launch of the new Sustainability Plan, Cascades has also renewed its partnerships with several prominent organizations devoted to biodiversity and environmental conservation. These collaborations include:

• - Parc Marie-Victorin: As a sustained partner since 1985, Cascades has renewed its five-year agreement with Parc Marie-Victorin, investing $275,000 annually to preserve Canada's largest ecological garden and aid biodiversity conservation efforts.
• - David Suzuki Foundation: Continuing their relationship from 2016, Cascades will invest $100,000 annually through 2027 to support the Butterflyway Project, enhancing native plant gardens that are crucial for local biodiversity and pollinator health.
• - Granby Zoo: Renewing its partnership established in 2018, Cascades will contribute $50,000 yearly to the zoo, facilitating financial support for conservation and educational initiatives alongside sourcing zoo projects with sustainable products.
