International Soccer Academy Partners with Borussia Mönchengladbach for Youth Talent Development

New Horizons for Young Soccer Players

International Soccer Academy has made a significant move in the world of youth soccer by partnering with Borussia Mönchengladbach, one of Germany's premier clubs in the Bundesliga. This collaboration is set to create extraordinary advancements for talented youth players, especially those from the U.S., providing them with unique pathways to develop their skills within an elite training system.

The partnership aims to establish a new Integrated U18 Academy team in Germany. This August, a selected squad of 20 exceptional American youth soccer players will begin their professional training journey at the Borussia Mönchengladbach facilities. This initiative is a golden opportunity for these young athletes to immerse themselves in Germany's rich soccer culture, gaining invaluable experience.

Eddie Loewen, the Co-Founder of International Soccer Academy, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture, stating, "Every youth soccer player comes to us with a big dream. We immerse them in a professional environment and work to develop their skills to the highest level. We are excited to see what the elite players at Gladbach will achieve."

A Genuine Pathway to Professional Soccer

For young athletes born in 2008 and 2009, this initiative is an incredible chance to live, train, and compete in Germany for an entire season. The program's goal is to refine their technical abilities while conditioning them to thrive in high-pressure matches. This cooperation symbolizes a mutual commitment to nurture upcoming soccer champions.

Ronald Virkus, CEO Sport of Borussia Mönchengladbach, emphasized the holistic approach their club takes toward youth development. By experience training in Germany, players will not just learn soccer but also grow personally through exposure to a different culture and way of life. The aspiration is to cultivate well-rounded individuals who can handle challenges on and off the field.

Diane Scavuzzo, another Co-Founder, added, "Together, we will open new pathways for talented American players. This is a commitment to nurturing the next generation of student-athletes, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and training needed to succeed, whether in college soccer or as professional athletes."

Scouting the Next Talent

The collaboration doesn’t halt with just training; scouting for elite players will be a main focus. Borussia Mönchengladbach will look for talented individuals through various platforms including MLS Academies, tournaments, and showcases. Their scouts are eager to uncover great potential in American soccer players, believing that many promising talents are waiting to be discovered.

“Identifying and nurturing talent is at the heart of what we do at Borussia Mönchengladbach,” said Steffen Korell, the Scouting Director of the club. “American youth soccer players have great potential, and we're eager to explore the opportunities they bring.” The club is committed to creating an expansive environment that develops not only sports skills but personal growth.

International Soccer Academy has existed since 2020, bridging youth players from the U.S. to European clubs. Their efforts have already yielded success with players participating in over 160 trials, resulting in numerous placements within top-tier European teams. The partnership with Borussia Mönchengladbach adds to a roster that includes collaborations with FC Bayern Munich, Hertha BSC, and Cádiz CF, among others.

A Unique Experience for Young Athletes

The U18 academy team will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities including training pitches and a comprehensive Performance Center. This setting will allow them to grow not only in their sporting life but also gain essential life skills in a structured environment, emphasizing community and development.

Philipp Havermann of Borussia Mönchengladbach highlighted that this initiative is about providing a pathway for young athletes, ensuring they are prepared for the nuances of soccer on the international stage while also promoting positive life values.

Thus, the spotlight shines on this unprecedented opportunity for U.S. youth players to refine their craft in Germany's rigorous soccer environment. Through this partnership, both International Soccer Academy and Borussia Mönchengladbach are laying the groundwork for the next generation of soccer stars,
laying a vital foundation for athletes to dream big and strive for excellence in their sports careers.
