This July, Tokyo will host an exciting event to showcase the rich culinary and cultural offerings of Takayama, a picturesque city located in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The "Takayama Fair" is set to run from July 1st to July 31st at the Chiyoda Gourmet Shop+A in Chiyoda Ward, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the flavors of Hida region as well as its local specialties.

Fair Program Highlights

1. Local Product Sales
Dates: July 1 (Wed) - July 31 (Fri), 12:00 - 18:00
Location: Chiyoda Gourmet Shop+A, 3 Kanda Nishikicho
This section of the fair will feature a variety of delicious processed goods and fresh produce from Takayama, including exquisite tomatoes and other local favorites. Please note that the sales will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

2. Standing Drinking Experience – Tachinomi Puratto
Date: July 10 (Fri) from 18:00 - 21:00
Location: Chiyoda Gourmet Shop+A
For just 1,000 yen (drinks not included), participants can savor three delightful dishes made with Hida ingredients – an exciting experience for food enthusiasts who want to enjoy the authentic taste of Takayama.

3. Takayama Diamond Night Dinner
Date: July 31 (Fri), starting at 18:30
Location: Kanda Club, 2 Kanda Nishikicho
This gourmet dining experience is expected to be a highlight of the fair. Diners will relish a luxurious feast featuring premium Hida beef and other regional ingredients, all for 10,000 yen (drinks not included). Reservations are required for this exclusive event.

4. Collaborating Restaurants Offering Hida Cuisine
Throughout July, several partner restaurants will feature special menus using Hida ingredients. Participating locations include:
- Shimayushi (Kanda Nishikicho 3) - undergoing renovation and reopening as Kanda Muku Shokudo on July 7
- Kanda Club (Kanda Nishikicho 2)
- Kurazuke (Kanda Surugadai)
- Pen to Hashi (Nakakasai, Edogawa Ward)
