From June 20 to 21, 2026, this collaborative experience between AGRIKO and LUMINE will take place at the innovative AGRIKO x MIMURE BOTANICAL Lab. This immersive farm lab cleverly combines aquaponics farming with a unique opportunity to connect with food sources through hands-on experience.

What is the Kyoto Mai Corn?


The Kyoto Mai Corn, cherished for its remarkably high sugar content, surpasses traditional melons in sweetness, boasting levels of up to 22.4 degrees. It carries the namesake of the elegant geishas of Kyoto, embodying refinement and grace. The corn is cultivated with meticulous care, ensuring that every ear is a testament to quality and flavor. Participants will have the chance to harvest this rare corn straight from the roots while learning about its unique growth and cultivation secrets directly from local producers.

The 'Traveling Vegetables' event allows participants to:
  • - Harvest their corn, which will be transported complete with roots from Kyoto to the heart of Tokyo.

  • - Taste the freshness of corn harvested on-site, experiencing an explosion of flavor right as it’s picked.

This two-day event will feature scheduled harvesting sessions starting at 11:00 AM, with further slots at 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:30 PM. Each session will host a limited number of attendees to ensure a personal experience, priced at 2,500 yen per participant, making it an excellent opportunity for families, friends, and food lovers.

In addition to the hands-on harvesting experience, MIMURE’s eateries will also participate by offering special menu items featuring the Kyoto Mai Corn.
