A Unique Running Experience with Shokz and Suguru Osako
On October 20, 2025, Shokz, known for its innovative open-ear audio technology, hosted an exhilarating running event at Ajinomoto Stadium. The event featured elite long-distance runner Suguru Osako, a Japanese record holder, as the main coach. This exciting gathering saw approximately 40 participants, including influencers and general attendees, engage in a hands-on running session designed to showcase a new way to experience music while running.
Shokz provided each participant with their latest model, the OpenRun Pro 2, which allows users to enjoy crystal-clear sound while remaining aware of their surroundings. The unique open-ear design is perfect for maintaining situational awareness during exercise, making it an ideal match for outdoor activities like running.
As the day kicked off, participants warmed up under Osako's guidance, progressing from slow jogging to the main running session. Throughout the experience, runners were not only able to enjoy music but also listened to Osako's coaching and the ambient sounds around them, enhancing their focus on form, breath, and rhythm.
To finish off the session, a thrilling “5km Sprint Challenge” led by Osako took place. The winners from both the men’s and women’s categories were rewarded with the exclusive Shokz OpenFit 2 headphones, autographed by Osako himself. Following the competitive segment, attendees had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with Osako, as well as take memorable pictures, wrapping up the event on an energetic note!
