Acosta Group Welcomes Brian Driscoll as New Chairman of the Board of Directors
On January 9, 2025, Acosta Group proudly announced the appointment of Brian Driscoll as the new non-executive chairman of its board of directors, starting January 15. This leadership transition marks a significant step for the company as Driscoll takes over from Grant LaMontagne, who has been instrumental as the board's chairman for the past five years and will continue to serve as a board member.
Driscoll's arrival is backed by an impressive 40-year career within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector. His extensive experience includes roles such as chairman at The Arnott's Group and board member for Gibson, along with advisory positions at KKR & Co. His past leadership roles include serving as president, CEO, and board member at Snyder's-Lance, Inc., which was successfully acquired by Campbell Soup Company in 2018. Furthermore, he has led Diamond Foods, Inc. as president, CEO, and board member from 2012 to 2016, and held the same titles at Hostess Brands, Inc. from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Driscoll's career trajectory has seen him work with notable companies like Kraft North America, Nabisco, and Nestle Foods, starting his journey with Procter & Gamble.
Brian Wynne, president and CEO of Acosta Group, expressed enthusiasm over Driscoll's appointment, stating, "We are excited to welcome Brian Driscoll as the new non-executive chairman of the board. His extensive leadership background in CPG, with unique experiences in both executive and board chair roles for publicly traded and private equity-owned companies, will be invaluable to Acosta Group. I look forward to collaborating with him to further enhance our capabilities and create new opportunities for our associates while accelerating profitable growth."
Wynne also shared his appreciation for LaMontagne, highlighting his significant contribution to guiding the board through a transformative phase, during which Acosta Group experienced notable growth and several strategic acquisitions. LaMontagne's continued presence on the board is expected to facilitate a smooth transition during this exciting new phase in Acosta's journey.
"I am honored to take on the role of chairman of the board at Acosta Group," said Driscoll upon his appointment. He looks forward to collaborating closely with the executive team and the board to propel the company's ongoing evolution while ensuring that exceptional value is delivered to clients and consumers alike.
