Breaking Ground on LOGI FLAG TECH East Ogi Island II Warehouse Facility

Announcement of LOGI FLAG TECH East Ogi Island II

Kasumigaseki Capital Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo, is excited to announce the groundbreaking of its new facility, LOGI FLAG TECH East Ogi Island II. This innovative project aims to combat chronic labor shortages in the logistics industry and improve the challenging working conditions often found in frozen warehouses. The new facility will incorporate automated racks to streamline the inbound and outbound processes in its temperature-controlled storage areas.

Facility Features

Located just 1.7 kilometers from the Higashi Ogi Island Interchange on the Tokyo Bay Expressway, the facility is positioned advantageously within a region densely populated with frozen and refrigerated logistics facilities. Its location ensures high convenience as a distribution hub that covers the Kanto area and serves as a consolidation point for import and export cargo.

The warehouse boasts a two-level structural design, with the first floor serving as the truck berth and unloading area, maintained at a +5°C ambient temperature. The second floor features a vast frozen storage area designed with a height of 27 meters, equipped with an automated rack system maintained at -25°C. This unique facility structure eliminates the need for human entry during routine operations, significantly enhancing efficiency and safety. The frozen storage area has a capacity for 20,644 pallets, which promotes high-density storage solutions.

In alignment with future environmental regulations including the refrigerant controls set for 2030, the facility will utilize natural refrigerants for its cooling systems. Furthermore, rooftop solar panels are planned to harness renewable energy for its power supply, showcasing the facility's commitment to eco-friendly operations.
