Kick-off Event for Co-Creation DAO: Connecting Urban Talent with Local Businesses in Japan
In a significant step towards regional collaboration, the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center (Tokyo) is joining forces with Jinseki Kogen Town and Spoon Co., among others, to launch the "Minato City x Jinseki Kogen Co-Creation DAO" project. This initiative is designed to unite urban professionals—including corporate employees, freelancers, students, and entrepreneurs—with local businesses and residents of Jinseki Kogen Town in an effort to address community challenges and co-create innovative solutions.
The kick-off event, titled "Minato City x Jinseki Kogen Co-Creation DAO Kick-off 2026," will take place on July 28, 2026, at the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center. This gathering aims to lay the groundwork for collaboration, allowing participants to align their skills and expertise with the needs of the local community.
Bridging Urban Expertise with Regional Innovations
The objective of the Co-Creation DAO is not limited to simple human resource placement or generating ideas. Instead, it seeks to leverage advanced skills in project planning, business development, AI/IT, design, public relations, video production, and marketing. These skills will be synthesized with local knowledge, assets, culture, industries, and interpersonal connections. Through dialogue, fieldwork, brainstorming, and prototyping, the project aims to foster businesses, products, and services that are rooted in the community, ultimately benefiting both participants and local residents.
The Co-Creation DAO will also facilitate the visualization of contributions and activities. By recording participants' interests, skills, dialogues, proposals, and real-world implementations, this initiative will create a database that not only chronicles collective efforts but also provides valuable insights into the future formation of co-creation units and project opportunities. With the introduction of an Evidence-Based Policy Making (EBPM) system, participants can track their involvement in relation to specific local themes, effectively transforming their contributions into a form of human capital.
Moreover, the activities’ performance metrics will be tied to Soulbound Tokens (SBT), which will serve as proof of contribution. Starting in late August 2026, a LINE mini-app will be rolled out, allowing for quest participation and experience management, creating continuous engagement between participants and the local community.
The Pathway to Collaborative Creation
The co-creation process will begin with the identification of regional challenges, followed by member recruitment and team formation, fieldwork, implementation, and eventually commercialization within the community. With EBPM, ongoing tracking of human capital, and SBT integration, every step—from participation, dialogue to implementation—will be recorded, ensuring a seamless transition to future collaborative endeavors.
Kick-Off Event Details
The event will cover an overview of the project, current co-creation themes from Jinseki Kogen, and the procedures following participation. Enthusiasts interested in regional issues, regional revitalization, AI/IT, digital transformation, design, public relations, video production, marketing, business development, DAOs, and Web3 are encouraged to join, regardless of prior experience.
