The research is conducted at the
Gotenka Ground on The University of Tokyo’s Hongo Campus, utilizing the GoANZEN sensor to gather real environmental data. This information, combined with weather forecasting data, will inform the development of an algorithm for precise WBGT predictions. The main objectives of this collaborative project are:
- - Research Title: Study on Point WBGT (Heat Index) Prediction
- - Objective: Validate a system using location-specific WBGT measurements and external weather variables for better heat illness prevention
- - Research Duration: From July 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028
Key participants include Mr. Genji Mogi from The University of Tokyo overseeing the research, and DUMSCO’s CEO, Mr. Naritomo Nishiike, responsible for data collection, alongside team member Mr. Naofumi Wakabayashi who focuses on data analysis and system development.
Research Schedule
The project follows a detailed timeline:

- - By October 2026: Data collection completed
- - By March 2027: Development and evaluation of the prediction algorithm finished
