Special Event on Business Succession

On July 1, 2026, the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the leadership of President Ken Kobayashi, will host a special seminar and networking event titled "Honest Conversations on Business Succession.” This initiative is part of a series of four workshops aimed primarily at supporting smooth business transitions among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Tokyo North region.

The event will kick off with a lecture by Hiromu Taniguchi, the President of Taniguchi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., who will share his personal experiences with business succession through a talk titled "Inheriting the Family Business". His insights will delve into the challenges leaders face when navigating through succession and how to pave the way for a successful future.

Following the lecture, a networking session will take place. This segment is designed as a platform for attendees to share their own insights, challenges, and tips regarding business succession. Participants will not only learn from each other but will also have the opportunity to interact with specialists from the Tokyo Chamber's Business Support Desk, who have extensive knowledge of practical matters concerning taxes, legal issues, financing, and more.
