TricorBraun Expands European Footprint with Euroglas and Glaspack Acquisitions
In a significant move to strengthen its presence in the European market, TricorBraun has officially announced its agreement to acquire two notable packaging companies, Euroglas and Glaspack. Based in Germany and Austria, respectively, these companies specialize in providing rigid packaging solutions across several sectors, significantly expanding TricorBraun's reach within the DACH region, encompassing Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Mark O'Bryan, the COO of TricorBraun, emphasized the importance of this acquisition by highlighting Euroglas and Glaspack's established reputations for quality and customer service. 'Euroglas and Glaspack are known for their quality, innovation, and customer service, and they've built longstanding businesses with impressive reputations,' he noted. This merger is anticipated to leverage the expertise of both companies to enhance offerings for customers, particularly in categories such as food, beverage, and spirits.
Both Euroglas and Glaspack were founded in 1992 and have developed strong family-run operations. Euroglas has become a leader in high-quality glass packaging, catering primarily to the food, beverage, and spirits industries with both stock and custom solutions. Glaspack, on the other hand, has made a name for itself in the Austrian market, supplying packaging for wine, beer, and various food products. This acquisition will enable them to access TricorBraun's extensive resources and support while ensuring their commitment to quality remains intact.
'Joining TricorBraun represents an exciting new chapter,' said Cristoph Jäckle, Managing Director of Euroglas. His sentiment was echoed by Johannes Jäckle, Head of Sales at Glaspack, who expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that the merger would allow them to evolve while maintaining their passion for packaging.
Following the completion of the acquisition, both Euroglas and Glaspack will continue to operate under their existing names as subsidiaries of TricorBraun. This transition promises a seamless experience for their clients, as all current team members will remain in place, ensuring continuity in operations and service standards.
TricorBraun's history of successful partnerships and acquisitions positions it as a leader in the packaging sector. The transaction is set to close in the first quarter of 2025, contingent on obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals. Financial advisory for this transaction was provided by Proventis Partners, while Linklaters served as the legal advisor to TricorBraun.
Since its forming over a century ago in 1902, TricorBraun has continually evolved, adapting its strategies to meet market demands and customer needs. With a workforce exceeding 2,200 professionals spread across over 100 locations worldwide, the company is well-equipped to tackle complex packaging problems and innovate in a rapidly changing market.
The acquisition of Euroglas and Glaspack not only enhances TricorBraun's product offerings but also strengthens its market position in Europe. As the company continues to grow, it remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering quality and tailored solutions to its clients, paving the way for sustained success in the competitive packaging landscape.
