Innovative 12-Week Mini-MBA Program
Abilitie, in collaboration with TED and St. Edward's University, has announced the launch of an innovative 12-week mini-MBA program aimed at professionals seeking to enhance their business acumen. The program, available globally, is designed to fit into the busy schedules of working individuals, enabling them to gain critical business skills in today's fast-evolving landscape, specifically as it pertains to the age of artificial intelligence.
The mini-MBA program is structured to be conducted online, featuring engaging live classes led by industry experts from top management teams around the world. The course concludes with an immersive in-person weekend experience at major business hubs, such as Berlin or Dubai, allowing participants to foster meaningful international networking opportunities.
First introduced as the 'Invited MBA' in 2019, this revamped curriculum incorporates carefully curated TED materials, interactive business simulations, and live discussions, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Graduates will receive a professional education certificate from St. Edward’s University, further bolstering their credentials in the business industry.
Darby Coleman, Senior Director at TED@Work, emphasizes the program’s objective: "This 12-week MBA combines powerful TED ideas with real-world business challenges, helping leaders expand their thinking, solve problems effectively, and support their teams well."
The pressing need for advanced management skills is underscored by striking statistics; more than 80 percent of managers globally lack advanced business degrees. This gap presents significant challenges for organizations aiming to develop leadership on the global stage. As a response, short MBA programs like this one have grown in popularity, providing essential business skills and management capabilities to aspiring leaders.
Bjorn Billhardt, CEO of Abilitie, articulates the importance of practical knowledge: "Leaders of tomorrow need more than just theoretical knowledge; they must cultivate business judgment. The dynamic and interactive nature of this 12-week MBA program helps professionals develop their financial literacy, strategic thinking, and leadership skills."
Participants will engage in classes three times a week, undertaking team-based business simulations grounded in real-life leadership challenges. The curriculum is meticulously designed to enhance participants' understanding of corporate finance, foster strategic thinking, manage resources effectively, and make informed decisions in an intricately complex business environment.
Marianne Ward-Peradoza, Associate Dean of St. Edward's University, expressed pride in being part of this collaboration: "We are committed to academic excellence and proud to be part of this exciting partnership. Today's professionals need flexible and effective opportunities for skill enhancement, and this program illustrates how we're creating pathways that allow them to remain competitive."
To maintain the program's interactive essence, class sizes are limited to 40 participants per section, with a total of 200 participants per cohort. The program culminates in a live, in-person weekend and accommodations and meals are included in the tuition fee. Enrollment for the Fall 2026 cohort is now open at a cost of $4,500, with scholarships available for participants. Interested individuals can find more information at
