In an enlightening study released by the Future Foresight Centre, the Dubai Police have showcased the social impact of its community initiatives with a staggering Social Return on Investment (SROI) of AED 647.9 million, equivalent to approximately $176.4 million. The study also revealed an inverse correlation for crime rates, suggesting that increased implementation of community initiatives is linked to lower crime instances, with a notable negative correlation of 0.41 for concerning crimes.

Additionally, the 'Ride with Dubai Police' program engaged around 40,000 people, and events related to the UAE SWAT Challenge amassed an impressive participation of 51,000 individuals.

Reflecting on the immense contributions from community volunteers, the study indicated that 7,189 volunteers offered up a remarkable 249,916 hours of service between 2017 and 2026. This volunteerism translated into an estimated financial saving of AED 21.7 million ($5.9 million), framing community engagement not only as a societal necessity but a profound economic benefit as well.
