RIRIFE Mobile App Receives Prestigious Award for Supporting New Residents

In an impressive recognition of its efforts, the RIRIFE app developed by ClassLab has won the Outstanding Award in the Corporate and Industrial category at the 12th Japan Resilience Awards 2026. This accolade highlights the app's commitment to assisting new residents in adapting to their new lives.

What is the Japan Resilience Award?

The Japan Resilience Award is an initiative that evaluates and honors forward-thinking companies and organizations that contribute to building a resilient society for future generations. It aims to foster the development of robust nations, communities, individuals, and industries, recognizing the importance of resilience in a rapidly changing world. This marks the 12th iteration of the award, underscoring its significance in promoting resilience.

Introduction to RIRIFE

RIRIFE, which embodies ClassLab’s mission of “Living the New Life Your Way,” is a membership-based app specifically designed for individuals who are either preparing for or have recently relocated. It offers an all-in-one platform for essential functionality, such as searching for supermarkets, banks, hospitals, and municipal offices. Moreover, it provides access to exclusive coupons from local businesses, useful articles about establishing a new lifestyle, and hazard maps derived from data provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

By integrating these various features into one application, RIRIFE simultaneously supports users in setting up their new lives while also preparing for daily life and disaster risks. During the transitional period right after moving, users often face uncertainty. RIRIFE mitigates this feeling of chaos by providing a coherent environment where they can obtain essential information about their new surroundings, enhancing their sense of community and increasing awareness of disaster preparedness.

Past Achievements

Since launching its services in September 2025, ClassLab has consistently guided new residents through its Lifeline Support initiatives, with around 21,000 individuals already registered. Users have expressed their joy at discovering local amenities and utilizing coupons, reflecting a tangible sense of accomplishment in starting their new lives. The app boasts participation from approximately 42,000 local businesses without any cost burden to the shops. This includes collaborations with large corporations such as Don Quijote, chocoZAP, and Smaregi-linked outlets, with discussions of further partnerships with major players like Tokyo Gas also underway.

Each month, more than 10,000 new residents are continuously engaged, and the initiative is steadily expanding as a sustainable mechanism benefiting both users and businesses.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, ClassLab aims to strengthen collaborations with local authorities and businesses, planning to upgrade the disaster information notification feature utilizing the L-alert system. The goal is to develop RIRIFE into a “Lifeline Resilience Foundation” that functions effectively during both ordinary and emergency situations, ensuring comprehensive service expansion.

Moreover, through the innovative use of proprietary AI technology, RIRIFE seeks to provide users with relevant information at optimal times, facilitating centralized management of essential lifeline procedures within the app. ClassLab aspires to acquire six million users within three years, positioning RIRIFE as an indispensable lifestyle infrastructure linking relocation, community integration, and disaster preparedness.
