TOWN Makuhari precinct, providing a platform for local businesses and residents to connect and foster community spirit. Record-Breaking Participation and Venue Expansion

This year marks the fourth edition of WOW! FES, with the theme “Building Community Through Connections”. The emphasis lies on creating meaningful interactions between local businesses and the community, aiming to cultivate a warm and welcoming atmosphere tailored for all generations.

Celebrating significant growth, this year's event is set to feature over 23 participating organizations, a significant increase from just 11 last year. To accommodate this rise, the venue has also been expanded, incorporating part of the parking area from the adjacent Cains Makuhari store. Participants can look forward to more extensive exhibits, enhanced performances, and a lively atmosphere that invigorates local camaraderie.

Here are some of the exciting activities attendees can expect at this year's festival:

Enjoy Interactive Experiences for Families

1. Disaster Preparedness Booth by Narashino City's Crisis Management Department: This booth, present for the second year, will offer engaging opportunities for families to learn about disaster preparedness while having fun.
2. Showcase of Emergency Vehicles by Local Fire Department and Police: Experience hands-on activities, such as rides on a fire truck and using a water fire extinguisher, alongside static displays of police vehicles, enhancing the thrill of community safety education.
3. DIY Workshop by Cains Makuhari: For those interested in do-it-yourself projects, this workshop provides guided, beginner-friendly sessions to spark creativity and skill development. (Participation fee applies.)
4. Kids Racer Land by Harbor Circuit Makuhari New Town: Feel like a pro racer in their portable circuit designed for children, offering both solo and paired racing experiences for younger attendees. (Participation fee applies.)

Moreover, look forward to exciting engagements like Test Drives of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and interactive games for families. Culinary enthusiasts will also enjoy a variety of gourmet food options from diverse food trucks at the venue.

Engaging Main Stage Events

The main stage promises to be an entertainment hub throughout the festival:

• - Tyranno Fest in WOW! TOWN: Watch as participants don Tyrannosaurus rex costumes to compete in a unique race, marking the first time this event is held in WOW! TOWN Makuhari.
• - Performance by Obic Seagulls Cheerleading Squad: Witness thrilling cheer performances from the talented cheer team of the prominent American football team, Obic Seagulls, alongside respective promotional activities.
• - Dance Battle ‘Sen GOKU WOW TOWN Cup’: Originally catering to teenage dancers since 2011, this unique battle allows participation from all ages this year, with preliminary rounds at a designated indoor stage and finals at the main stage. Registrations are available until October 18.

Additionally, enjoy musical performances from local students and artists while attending the nightly fireworks display, a traditional highlight of the event, with around 500 dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky for ten minutes.

The Journey of WOW! FES

The history of WOW! FES began in 2015 as a small fireworks viewing event, evolving over the years to accommodate larger audiences and more diverse activities, especially post-pandemic. Transitioning to wow! FES in 2022, the festival has since welcomed approximately 1,000 visitors annually, reflecting its growing popularity.

In keeping with the spirit of community, Gulliver WOW! TOWN Makuhari aims to continue serving as an accessible automotive hub, dedicated to strengthening local ties and being a reliable resource for residents.
