XCMG Secures Over CNY 10 Billion in Contracts at bauma China 2024, Aiming for Sustainability

In a significant milestone at bauma China 2024, XCMG Machinery, a renowned leader in the construction machinery sector, announced the awarding of contracts valued at over CNY 10 billion. These contracts are not just figures on a balance sheet; they represent a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration in the construction industry.

Central to XCMG's achievements is a groundbreaking agreement valued at CNY 3 billion with the Fortescue Group, a leading iron ore producer from Western Australia. This deal outlines the delivery of over 100 heavy-duty electric mining units by 2030, including zero-emission wheel loaders, bulldozers, and graders. This initiative aligns with Fortescue's ambitious goal to achieve net-zero emissions across its iron ore operations in Australia by 2030, showcasing a powerful partnership dedicated to environmental stewardship. The first batch of equipment is expected to be in operation by 2026, with the potential to significantly reduce fossil fuel consumption over its lifespan.

Additionally, XCMG signed a strategic partnership with Tsingshan Holding Group to develop a new energy equipment manufacturing facility in Indonesia. This factory will serve as the first major production hub for XCMG in Southeast Asia, specializing in new energy machinery, further diversifying and strengthening their global presence.

XCMG also made significant strides in its domestic market, completing the delivery of more than CNY 200 million worth of wheeled and crawler cranes, featuring groundbreaking models such as the XCA4000, the world’s largest all-terrain crane; the XCA2000, praised for its versatility in wind energy projects; and innovative crawler cranes like the XLC18000M and XLC17000, designed specifically for wind turbine installations.

The exhibition at bauma China highlighted more than 40 electric and hybrid models, representing 42% of the total excavators, cranes, graders, mining equipment, road machinery, and other construction technologies presented by XCMG. Among these standout debuts was the XC9108EV, acknowledged as the world's largest pure electric loader; the GR350EP, the first electric mining grader globally; and the XCT100G5-1HEV, a 100-ton hybrid crane, showcasing XCMG's commitment to clean energy solutions in the construction field.

Visitors were also enthralled by the demonstration of XCMG’s advanced machinery featured in the blockbuster film 'The Wandering Earth II.' The ET120 walking excavator performed complex maneuvers, underscoring the blend of cinematic innovation and engineering excellence that XCMG stands for. This unique exhibition exemplified the company’s visionary outlook and progressive approach to future technologies.

Yang Dongsheng, President of XCMG Machinery and the XCMG Group, remarked on the enduring relationship between XCMG and bauma China since 1992, stating, "This platform has been pivotal in exhibiting our unwavering dedication to innovation and partnership with global collaborators to navigate challenges and celebrate successes."

XCMG continues its focus on global collaboration with the launch of the XCMG TrueCare service brand and the introduction of the WIN-win initiative for public welfare and environmental efforts at the expo. These efforts aim to foster shared success through enhanced products and services. XCMG’s strides at bauma China 2024 not only solidify its leadership in the construction machinery arena but also render it a major player in championing sustainable industrial practices worldwide. As they continue their journey, XCMG reaffirms its commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in construction and mining while addressing global environmental challenges.
