IDB Group Promotes Entrepreneurship and Innovation at GET Forum 2025
The Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group) is set to host its much-anticipated Global Entrepreneurship and Technology Forum (GET Forum) from November 30 to December 2 in San Salvador, El Salvador. This annual event, previously known as the IDB Lab Forum, brings together a diverse group of stakeholders from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including investors, startup leaders, public officials, and industry experts.
This year’s forum aims to connect Latin America and the Caribbean with the global market, providing invaluable networking opportunities, insights, and inspiration for all participants. As César Buenadicha, acting chief of IDB Lab's Ecosystem Building and Acceleration Division, puts it, “GET Forum is an expression of the value that the IDB Group and its allies bring to the region.” The event serves to promote business opportunities and foster knowledge exchange to invigorate the entrepreneurial landscape in these regions.
A Collaborative Approach to Innovation
In a significant shift this year, the GET Forum is organized under a collaborative public-private model, bringing together the Government of El Salvador, Agrisal Group, and over 30 sponsoring partners. The emphasis on collaboration is particularly timely as it seeks to strengthen emerging innovation ecosystems across Latin America and the Caribbean. Among the thematic pillars that guide this year’s forum are talent development, investment promotion, and policy innovation aimed at fostering growth and entrepreneurship.
What to Expect at the Forum
The excitement begins on November 30 with the GET Forum Innovation Village at Cuscatlán Park. This space will feature open classrooms and hands-on experimenting with new technologies, offering a dynamic environment for sharing entrepreneurial stories and ideas. Day two and three will be hosted at the Hilton San Salvador Hotel, featuring high-level conferences, plenary sessions, interactive panels, applied-knowledge workshops, startup pitches, and ample opportunities for networking.
One of the standout features of this year’s event is the lineup of over 130 speakers from more than 25 countries. Attendees can look forward to engaging with leaders in innovation and entrepreneurship, such as Andrés Bilbao, Eric Acher, Siim Sikkut, and Guy Nae, who will share insights and strategies relevant to the current entrepreneurial climate.
Bridging Sectors for Greater Impact
The overarching goal of GET Forum 2025 is to facilitate connections between public and private sectors, entrepreneurs and investors, and the region with the wider world. By building these bridges, the IDB Group aims to cultivate innovative solutions that can generate significant impact at a larger scale.
This year’s forum promises to be a landmark event that not only showcases the vibrancy and potential of Latin American entrepreneurs but also addresses the critical need for investment in innovative solutions to drive forward the region’s economic development.
