TransPerfect Legal Expands Global Reach with New Executive Hires in Seattle and Dubai

TransPerfect Legal Expands Their Team Globally

In a strategic move to bolster its presence in high-growth markets, TransPerfect Legal—an industry leader in legal technology and AI services—officially announced two important appointments in Seattle and Dubai. This expansion is poised to enhance the company's consulting and investigations capabilities, catering to the escalating demands of legal firms and corporate legal departments in the region.

Key Hires

Angie Nolet has been named the Vice President of Consulting and Information Governance in Seattle. With over ten years of extensive experience in legal technologies and eDiscovery, Nolet has a proven track record in both corporate and law firm environments. Her previous role as Senior Corporate Counsel at Redfin involved managing litigation processes and overseeing the company's eDiscovery strategies. Furthermore, Nolet is renowned for her podcast, eDiscovery Chicks, which serves as a platform for advancing discussions and insights within the eDiscovery community.

In her new position, Nolet is set to advise clients and internal teams on intricate consulting and governance initiatives. Her expertise aims to support legal departments and law firms in executing efficient, defensible data strategies that span the entire litigation and investigation lifecycle. "TransPerfect combines smart technology, talented individuals, and a deep commitment to client welfare, which aligns perfectly with my professional aspirations," Nolet shared, expressing her enthusiasm about joining the team.

Simultaneously, Haleh Hamzavian has been appointed as the Senior Director of Investigations at TransPerfect Legal’s Dubai office. Hamzavian, who is qualified to practice law in both the UK and Australia, brings over a decade of specialization in white-collar crime, fraud, and corporate investigations. Her career trajectory has been nothing short of impressive, starting with the Crown Prosecution Service where she focused on criminal asset confiscation. Following this, she worked at a London litigation boutique before taking on senior legal roles in a prominent UK family office and recently within a Dubai-based fintech firm.

In her role at TransPerfect, Hamzavian will lead the firm’s investigation efforts across the Middle East. She will provide expert advice to clients on compliance, fraud, and enforcement issues while collaborating closely with TransPerfect's global teams in forensics, consulting, and eDiscovery. "The Middle East is a dynamic market for legal investigations and compliance services, and I’m eager to leverage TransPerfect’s advanced technology and expertise to assist clients navigating these challenges," Hamzavian stated.

Anticipating Growth

TransPerfect’s President and Co-CEO, Phil Shawe, voiced his optimism for the future, welcoming both Nolet and Hamzavian to the team. “Their extensive backgrounds will undoubtedly bring immediate advantages to our clients. This move is part of our ongoing commitment to fortifying our global service offerings in legal technology and consulting.”
