ISPE Celebrates Innovators in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at 2026 FOYA Awards

ISPE Announces 2026 Facility of the Year Awards Category Winners

On April 20, 2026, during the ISPE Europe Annual Conference held in Copenhagen, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) revealed the winners of the 2026 Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA). This prestigious awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing across various categories, including innovation, operational excellence, and social impact. The broad range of winners reflects significant advancements in the design, delivery, and operation of manufacturing facilities worldwide.

The FOYA program particularly focuses on projects that embody excellence in several key aspects such as innovation, supply chain integration, and adherence to the principles of Pharma 4.0™. This year’s winners represent diverse therapeutic areas and regions, showcasing how the industry is innovating to respond to regulatory, operational, and societal challenges. They highlight advancements in modular and digital manufacturing, infrastructure with sustainability in mind, and accelerated project execution—all crucial factors for delivering high-quality, reliable medications for patients.

According to Parag Sane, the AVP of Global Capital Projects at Amgen and the chair of the FOYA judging panel, “This year's FOYA Category Winners illustrate how pharmaceutical manufacturing is evolving to meet some of the industry's most complex challenges.” He added that the winning projects reflect a bold commitment to agility, sustainability, and patient-focused outcomes, setting new benchmarks for excellence in regulated manufacturing. The FOYA program serves to highlight engineering achievements that advance the pharmaceutical industry and ultimately benefit patients globally.
