During his tenure at Lockheed Martin, Harrington was recognized for creating a coalition of risk professionals throughout the Defense Industrial Base, aimed at reviving the national space program alongside NASA and the U.S. government. His leadership in this area earned him the prestigious title of Risk Manager of the Year in 2021 from the Risk and Insurance Management Society. Additionally, Harrington’s foundational career was marked by nine years of active duty in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of Major within the 10th Special Forces Group.
