DIRECTV and FireAid Join Forces to Aid Southern California Fire Relief Efforts

DIRECTV Partners with FireAid for Fire Relief Efforts

In light of the recent destructive wildfires that have impacted Southern California, DIRECTV has announced a collaborative initiative with FireAid aimed at providing financial support and relief to the affected communities. This partnership will culminate in the FireAid Benefit Concert, a special event intended to raise much-needed funds for rebuilding efforts.

Concert Details

On January 30, 2025, DIRECTV will broadcast the FireAid Benefit Concert at no cost to viewers across the nation through its MyFree DIRECTV service, as well as on streaming and satellite platforms. Citizens and businesses are encouraged to tune in to channel 101 to partake in this significant charitable event.

The concert is set to take place at two prominent Los Angeles venues: Intuit Dome and Kia Forum. The festivities kick off with doors opening at 5 PM PDT, with artists taking the stage at 6 PM and 7:30 PM respectively.

This one-night-only concert promises a star-studded lineup featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry. The Intuit Dome will showcase acts including Billie Eilish, Earth, Wind & Fire, Katy Perry, and Lil Baby, while the Kia Forum will present performances by Alanis Morissette, John Mayer, and Green Day, among others.

DIRECTV’s Commitment

As part of this initiative, DIRECTV has committed to donating $1 million to FireAid, enabling the organization to provide immediate relief for communities affected by the recent wildfires. Additionally, tickets to the concert will be made available for families that have been displaced by the fires, specifically those staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California in Pasadena.

To further engage with the community, DIRECTV will partner with local establishments like Dog Haus and the Inspire Brands Foundation, offering attendees a chance to express their gratitude to the first responders who play a crucial role during such crises.

Bill Morrow, CEO of DIRECTV, emphasized the company's deep-rooted ties to Los Angeles, stating, “We’ve proudly been a part of this community for the past 30 years, and we are honored to partner with FireAid to provide this opportunity to our consumers and businesses. Our goal is to support everyone affected by the fires, from our customers to our employees and local residents.”

How to Help

In addition to enjoying the concert, consumers and businesses are encouraged to support relief efforts by donating through FireAidLA.org. The Annenberg Foundation, with extensive experience in philanthropic endeavors in Southern California, will assist in ensuring that the contributions make a substantial difference in the lives of those impacted.
