Chili's Revives Colorful Create-A-Pepper Program to Support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Chili's Revives the Create-A-Pepper Program

Chili's® Grill & Bar has officially kicked off its vibrant Create-A-Pepper program, allowing guests a chance to creatively contribute to a noble cause during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Running throughout September, this initiative is a colorful way to generate support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, continuing a partnership that has lasted over 23 years.

Colorful Contributions for a Cause

From now until September 30, patrons can visit any participating Chili’s location to purchase a Create-A-Pepper coloring sheet. Contributions can be made in various amounts of $1, $5, $10, or $25, with every single dollar directed towards supporting St. Jude's vital mission of advancing research and treatment for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Not only do these donations directly aid in the fight against cancer, but they also ensure that no family receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food. All completed coloring sheets will be showcased on the walls of Chili's restaurants, turning them into galleries of hope and inspiration, encouraging even more guests to create their own pepper art.

Celebrating Partnership and Impact

George Felix, Chief Marketing Officer of Chili's, shared his enthusiasm regarding the initiative, stating, “Making everyone feel special is at the heart of what it means to work at Chili's.” He emphasized the significant impact guests and team members have made over the years, having collectively donated more than $120 million to support St. Jude's patients and their families.

Samantha Maltin, the Chief Marketing and Brand Officer of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude, expressed deep gratitude for Chili's ongoing commitment. “We are immensely grateful to Chili's for 23 years of unwavering fundraising and support,” Maltin said, highlighting how art serves as not just a creative outlet but also a source of inspiration and healing in the hospital.

A Legacy of Generosity

Since its inception in 2002, the Create-A-Pepper program was born out of a drive to give back to the Memphis community—the hometown of St. Jude. Over the years, Chili's has spearheaded many fundraising initiatives, contributing to advancements in research and treatment at St. Jude.

The Create-A-Pepper experience not only uplifts the spirits of children and families affected by cancer but promotes a collective sense of purpose among Chili's guests. With each artistic contribution, hopes are raised not just for those battling the disease but also for raising awareness about childhood cancer.

Chili's remains committed to their mission, Finding Cures. Saving Children. As they celebrate this colorful comeback of the Create-A-Pepper program, the restaurant invites everyone to visit chilis.com/st-jude to learn more about how they can make a difference.

Whether you’re picking up a coloring sheet in a local Chili’s or creating your masterpiece at home, every contribution counts in this lifelong journey of compassion and care. Join the movement, and let’s create a wave of support for those in need!
