Exciting Evangelion Exhibition at SMALL WORLDS TOKYO
This summer, fans of the iconic anime series 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' can immerse themselves in a unique experience at the SMALL WORLDS TOKYO, a miniature museum located in Tokyo. Specially titled 'The Fifth Mini Human Complement Project,' this exhibition runs from
July 26 to August 31, 2025. Celebrate the 30th anniversary of this beloved franchise, which first hit television screens in October 1995.
What to Expect
The exhibition is brought to life with the special cooperation of the Color Corporation and the certified NPO Anime and Special Effects Archive Organization (ATAC). Visitors will have the rare chance to see beautiful cel art and original sketches that are seldom on public display. The comprehensive showcase will span the entire facility, featuring impressive displays themed around various iconic areas, including the Kansai International Airport section, the Space Center area, and the Third New Tokyo City area—all brought to vivid life with the dynamic presence of Evangelion units.

Special Event Menus and Activities
Food enthusiasts visiting the second-floor museum café can enjoy limited-time event menus created specifically for this exhibition. Additionally, an amazing sight awaits in the Kansai International Airport area, where a massive original-color Evangelion aircraft (in designs of Unit 01 and Unit 08) will be showcased on a 1,000-panel monitor, dramatically simulating take-offs and landings.
A fun yet challenging game invites attendees to search for characters hidden within the exhibition area. Participants who find them all can enter a raffle for exciting prizes. The highest reward? A figurine resembling themselves!
For creative fans, there’s an engaging workshop featuring
Yurushi-to, the mascot character of the 'EVANGELION STORE.' Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from
11 different Yurushi-to figures and use acrylic paints and brushes for a personalized coloring experience. The workshop costs
2,500 yen (L-size) or
1,500 yen (S-size).
Moreover, fans can create lifelike figures of themselves dressed as NERV personnel or in First Middle School uniforms—available in sizes L and M at approximately
9,680 yen and
6,600 yen, respectively.
