ArmorSource Secures $17.6 Million Contract with U.S. Army
In a significant boost to its production capabilities, ArmorSource, LLC, a manufacturer of advanced ballistic helmet systems based in the United States, has been awarded a noteworthy contract worth $17.6 million by the U.S. Army. This funding will be utilized to produce and deliver 25,000 Advanced Combat Helmet Gen II (ACH Gen II) systems.
This exciting development, as confirmed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on May 28, 2026, is set to commence deliveries in 2027 under contract number SPE1C1-26-C-0016. Todd Barnes, the Government Programs Director at ArmorSource, stated, “This award signifies the trust bestowed upon us by the U.S. government, the U.S. Army, PEO Soldier, and the Defense Logistics Agency.” He added that this contract, alongside an ongoing order for 30,000 Advanced Combat Vehicle Crewman (ACVC) helmets, positions ArmorSource as a key supplier for advanced lightweight head protection systems used by the U.S. military.
The ACH Gen II helmets are designed with advanced features to ensure optimal performance under combat conditions. They are recognized for their remarkably reduced areal density, which provides enhanced ergonomics and superior comfort. The helmets maintain impressive ballistic and mechanical protection while preparing soldiers for the demanding environments they often face.
ArmorSource has a history of collaboration with various branches of the U.S. military, including the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Special Operations Command. Furthermore, their influence extends beyond the United States to elite military and law enforcement agencies in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, showcasing their international reach and commitment to producing top-tier protective gear.
To improve functionality and usability, ArmorSource has integrated the AireLink Prime retention system into its helmet design. This innovative feature allows for micro-adjustments on both the left and right sides, adding to the helmet’s versatility. Additionally, the AireSupport Max 3D suspension platform enhances comfort and reduces the risk of blunt impact injuries, making them invaluable for extended operations in the field.
