NovaGo Therapeutics Secures $30 Million in Series B Funding

The funds from this fundraising initiative will significantly propel NovaGo's flagship program forward, enabling it to enter the key proof-of-concept phase of its clinical study focused on acute spinal cord injury. This study is designed as a fully randomized, double-blind trial involving 120 patients across various clinical sites in Germany, Spain, and Switzerland.

Spinal cord injuries present severe medical challenges, with a substantial unmet need for effective therapeutic options capable of restoring lost neurological functions. Currently, no approved regenerative therapies exist to aid these patients, leaving them and their families with limited treatment prospects. NovaGo's innovative approach targets the inhibitory protein Nogo-A, which hampers nerve fiber regeneration and neuroplasticity within the central nervous system, aiming to enhance functional recovery for individuals affected by such injuries.
