Tani's Borderless Collection: A Peaceful Message for Fall Winter 2025

Tani's Borderless Collection for Fall Winter 2025

The new Borderless collection from Tani encapsulates a profound message of peace. Designer Maki Shirasawa invites us to rethink the concept of borders—suggesting that our connection as humans transcends race and, instead, unites us through the blood that flows within us. This collection emphasizes the role of underwear as a canvas for conveying this vital message. As Shirasawa eloquently puts it, wearing a message of peace between races is a form of natural art.

This season, Tani takes inspiration from Felix von Luschan's skin color scale and the Human Displacement Map, both of which highlight humanity's diverse spectrum of skin tones and the continuous movement and exchange among people throughout history. With the fall collection, we invite you to embrace the peace embodied in the Borderless theme.

Innovative Prints

The Signature Print: Borderless

The collection features a striking print designed by Shirasawa, characterized by a check pattern made from twelve shades of skin color. Bold red lines cut horizontally and vertically through the pattern, representing the color of blood. This design reinforces the poignant message that despite differing skin tones and races, we share the same blood. It symbolizes the unity that exists amidst diversity.

Imaginary City

Next is the Imaginary City—a creative piece by Mariya Pinyu—that interlaces iconic architecture from around the globe into a seamless world. This print evokes memories of cities touched by human experience while showcasing our global connections. By utilizing advanced digital printing technology, the delicate lines of the illustrations are rendered with precision, reducing environmental impact during production. Feel the essence of life unbound by national or geographical borders through your fingertips.

Flight of Fancy

Last but not least, the Flight of Fancy print features playful depictions of free-flying birds, symbolizing limitless imagination. These birds soar across borders with abandon, representing the freedom and creativity inherent in our lives. Tani's underwear and loungewear aim to imbue the wearer with the spirit of global connection and infinite possibilities. The color palette harmonizes with this season’s new shades, broadening your sartorial options.
