2027 Japan-based Cruises
The upcoming 2027 Japan-based cruises mark a significant milestone for Princess Cruises. For the first time, both the Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess, which were built in Japan, will operate out of Japanese ports. The Sapphire Princess will homeport in Tokyo, offering unique Japanese cruise experiences. From March 6, 2027, to November 13, 2027, Princess Cruises will host 41 departures, visiting 35 cities across three countries, including South Korea and Taiwan.
Cruisers embarking on these journeys can immerse themselves in Japan's rich seasonal beauty and cultural heritage. In spring, guests can revel in the cherry blossoms with cruises such as the
'Spring Hues Western Japan Tour and 13-Day Korea' or
'Spring Breeze Grand Japan Tour and 14-Day Korea.'
As summer approaches, travelers can enjoy various vibrant summer festivals in Aomori and Hakodate through cruises like
'Summer Vacation Cruise: 9 Days Around Japan and Korea' or the popular
'Japan's Summer: 12 Days Cruise Featuring Nebuta, Yosakoi, and Awa Odori Festivals.' The tours will include unique opportunities to see both the Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess rendezvousing at sea while participating in the
'Sister Ship Rendezvous: 11-Day and 14-Day Tours Featuring the Kumano Great Fireworks Festival and Western Japan.'
For those new to cruising or looking for a shorter getaway, the Sapphire Princess will also introduce weekend short cruises. These 8-day A, B, and C-option trips will be easier for first-timers and frequent travelers alike.
In addition to diverse themes, the cruises are designed to boost local economies by highlighting the attractions of each stop. Guests can look forward to carefully curated itineraries concentrating on local experiences and sights, ensuring that each port of call offers something memorable.
