A Magical Night Awaits: Projection Mapping at Tokyo's City Hall

Discover Tokyo's Night Art Experience

Tokyo's magical nights are about to get even more spectacular with the recent unveiling of the official record video for "Water City: Edo Outer Moat". This stunning projection mapping event is part of the ongoing "TOKYO Night & Light" initiative, produced by HITOHATA, Inc., showcasing at the striking Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (TMG).

The Experience

Running from November 1, 2025, the show will be on a long-term exhibition schedule, bringing together the beauty of Tokyo's waterways through artistic projection. Designed to mesmerize visitors every weekend, this 4-minute projection celebrates both the historical and futuristic elements of Edo, themed as a part of the "Outer Moat Purification Project". Here, tales of Edo’s water legacy come alive through vibrant visuals that illustrate seasonal flowers, waterfalls, and serene water environments as depicted in traditional Ukiyo-e art.
