Experience the Art of Japanese Tea Making with Your Own Bottle in Kichijoji

Discover the Joy of Japanese Tea Creation in Your Own Bottle

From September 25th to 27th, a unique event titled "My Bottle Experience: Crafting Your Own Japanese Tea" will take place in Kichijoji, Tokyo, hosted by Japan Tea Action, a specialty site operated by Mirai Zukuri Company. This event invites participants to bring their own bottles and combine their favorite tea leaves to create a personalized tea pack, which they can then brew cold and savor on the spot.

Event Highlights

This event promises an engaging experience where participants can learn about the art of Japanese tea while enjoying the changing feel of early autumn. In this period, cold Japanese tea, known as "mizudashi", is a refreshing beverage that minimizes bitterness and is packed with health benefits, making it perfect for combating summer fatigue. Unfortunately, many still hold misconceptions that cold-brewed tea lacks flavor and depth, and not enough people enjoy this delightful drink regularly.

To address this, the event aims to rediscover the charm of Japanese tea through the hands-on experience of creating one’s own cold brew using a personal bottle.

Eco-Friendly Focus

In recent years, younger generations have become more environmentally conscious, and using a personal bottle is high on their list of sustainable actions. By merging this habit with the joy of enjoying Japanese tea, we aim to promote the practice of brewing tea from loose leaves, making it a regular part of daily life.

Features of the Event

1. Selection Joy: Choose from a variety of tea leaves such as deep steamed sencha, hojicha, and kabusecha. Blend to your liking in an engaging experience known as "gogumi".

2. Crafting Happiness: Attendees can create their personal tea pack and brew it in their bottle, offering a chance to discover unique flavors and blends.

3. Learning Opportunity: Guided by a Japanese tea instructor, participants will learn about different tea types, tips for the best brewing methods, and creative ideas for using their personal bottles. Participants will leave with a deeper appreciation for their everyday tea.
