Hotel Metropolitan Haneda Collaborates with HICity School 2026

Hotel Metropolitan Haneda, operated by Nippon Hotel Co. and managed by General Manager Ken Shiohara, is set to participate for the third consecutive year in the local community event known as "HICity School 2026." This event aims to engage students from elementary and middle schools in the Ota Ward area along with their parents, providing them unique insights into Haneda Airport and various advanced technologies and cultures found within the HICity area.

The event will run from July 22, 2026, to October 18, 2026, featuring a range of hands-on experiential programs over six days. Students will have the chance to learn about the airport, as well as immerse themselves in the technological advancements and cultural opportunities that HICity represents.

Special Hotel Activities on July 29

One of the highlights of the event is scheduled for July 29, 2026, where Hotel Metropolitan Haneda will host several engaging activities for attendees. The day is designed to provide a taste of the hospitality industry, showcasing the hotel’s amenities and services. Participants will begin with a welcome session led by hotel staff who will guide them from the special venue of the HICity event to the hotel.

• - 12:00 PM: Lunch will be served at the hotel's fifth-floor restaurant, Il Cielo Haneda, where participants can enjoy a wonderful dining experience featuring a blend of local flavors and culinary excellence.
• - 1:00 PM: The group will be split into two teams to take turns experiencing:

1. Bed-Making Experience: Participants will learn how to make a proper hotel bed under the guidance of experienced hotel staff, gaining an insight into the meticulous attention to detail that goes into maintaining high hospitality standards.
2. Hotel Tour: Attendees will tour the hotel, including visits to the luxurious suites, experiencing firsthand the opulence and comfort that guests enjoy at Hotel Metropolitan Haneda.

The total scheduled experience on this day will conclude at approximately 2:00 PM. The event promises to enrich the educational journey of students and cultivate a sense of curiosity regarding careers in hospitality and aviation.
