Florida Southern College to Welcome CEO Peter Golotko for Eighth Annual Lecture Series

Florida Southern College is excited to announce the highly anticipated return of the CEO 100 Lecture Series, an event that has become a hallmark of the Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise. Now in its eighth year, this annual series serves as a vital platform connecting students, faculty, and community members with influential leaders in the world of business. It offers an invaluable opportunity to learn from prominent figures who have made significant contributions to their industries through innovative ideas, strategic foresight, and ethical leadership.

This year's notable speaker is Peter Golotko, the CEO of CPS Investment Advisors, which is a well-respected firm based in Lakeland, Florida. This year also marks a significant milestone for Golotko as CPS Investment Advisors celebrates its 50th anniversary. With over 35 years of experience in the financial sector, Golotko is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist credential from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Notably, he is also an alumnus of Florida Southern College and the founder of CPS Cares, a nonprofit organization dedicated to community engagement and support.

Michael Weber, Dean of the Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise, expressed enthusiasm about this event, stating, "The CEO 100 Lecture Series exemplifies our mission by introducing students to transformational leaders who champion innovation, impactful decision-making, and performance excellence." This long-standing series has previously hosted senior executives from major companies such as The Home Depot, The J.M. Smucker Company, and General Mills, drawing continuous interest from business leaders eager to share their insights and experiences with the younger generation.

"This eighth edition of our Lecture Series has become a cornerstone of our commitment to experiential learning," Weber added. "Engaging with CEOs like Peter Golotko provides our students with first-hand experience of visionary leadership. It presents a unique chance to grasp real-world business challenges and learn how to approach them effectively. This event truly brings our mission to life and equips our students to lead with purpose and impact in their future careers."

The 2025 CEO 100 Lecture Series is proudly presented by CPS Investment Advisors and The Baldwin Group, with additional sponsorship from Truist and the Central Florida Development Council. These partnerships highlight a collective commitment to advancing education, fostering leadership development, and promoting economic growth within the region.

Importantly, this event is free of charge and open to the public, underscoring the college's dedication to making impactful learning accessible to everyone. To reserve a seat or table, interested individuals can reach out to Ryan Buckley at [email protected]
