Experience a Magical Holiday at Omotesando Hills

The beautiful and vibrant OMOTESANDO HILLS CHRISTMAS TREE 2025 will illuminate the heart of Omotesando Hills from November 11 to December 25. Managed by Mori Building Co., this stunning holiday installation features a massive Christmas tree standing approximately 10 meters tall. Crafted by the acclaimed artist Takahiro Matsuo and his art studio EMISSION, the tree is adorned with multi-faceted prisms that will reflect and refract light, creating an extraordinary visual spectacle.

A Dazzling Installation

The centerpiece of the holiday décor is a brilliant tree made from an innovative optical polycarbonate material called Prism Ray®. It is composed of around 1,000 prism elements that blanket the space with a rich tapestry of colorful light. This marks the first Christmas tree creation for EMISSION, having gained recognition for captivating installations showcased in luxury hotels, airports, and public artworks both domestically and internationally.

An Innovative Experience

Surrounding the Christmas tree is a unique installation called Kinetic Light Vision (K.L.V), developed by Matsuo. This cutting-edge art system includes 48 spheres that synchronize movement with seasonal music, transforming the surrounding space into a cohesive light and sound experience. Notably, this innovative technology was first applied during the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 and has earned significant acclaim, which is why its debut outside the expo happens right here in Omotesando Hills.

Special Light and Sound Shows

For visitors, the enchanting tree will offer a special light and sound performance every 20 minutes. The tree typically glows with sophisticated white lighting, resembling a brilliant crystal. However, during these artistic moments, it will transition into a colorful display, dancing in sync with festive tunes produced by sound designer Setsuya Kurotaki, evoking a sense of joy and warmth in the hearts of all who witness it. The first show of the day will commence at 11:20 AM, with the final performance taking place at 10:20 PM.

Seasonal Events and Pop-Ups

In addition to the main attraction, Omotesando Hills will present a series of holiday pop-up events to enhance the festive atmosphere. From November 22 to December 7, the Gelato Pique Christmas Gift Market will be held, offering delightful gifts in an enchanting winter wonderland setting. Following that, from December 13 to December 25, Jo Malone London will host a pop-up event themed “Fun and Games,” where visitors can explore exclusive fragrances and participate in various engaging activities.
