Life Club Coop's Depot Kokuryo Station Reopens with a Special Festival

Life Club Coop's Depot Kokuryo Station Reopens

On August 16th, 2025 (Saturday), the Life Club cooperative's store, Depot Kokuryo Station, will proudly reopen after undergoing renovations. To mark this special occasion, a two-day festival titled "Renovation Opening Festival" will be held on August 16th and 17th. Expect a wealth of activities, samples, and specials featuring the best of Life Club products.

Depot focuses on providing fresh market fish, locally sourced vegetables, and a range of food items and daily necessities with minimal additives. In collaboration with local producers from Tochigi Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture, including Shinsei Dairy and Mise Shouji, the opening festival will host numerous producer visits where attendees can sample delicious offerings.

The festival will feature delectable items for tasting, including Life Club's renowned milk and ice cream, dumplings, and curry. There's even fresh tuna cutting demonstrations for those looking to experience something new! Sweet treats such as shaved ice topped with syrup made from locally sourced fruits and sugar—avoiding artificial colorants—will also be available. Additionally, lucky bags filled with assorted goodies will be up for grabs, ensuring plenty of opportunities to enjoy.

The renovations include a complete overhaul of the wooden deck at the entrance, enhancing the store's welcoming atmosphere. While the Depot is primarily a store for Life Club members, the Renovation Opening Festival invites newcomers and potential members to enjoy the fun. It’s a perfect chance for families with children to join in the excitement and experience community spirit.
