T-Gaia's Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion
T-Gaia, a Tokyo-based company, has once again proven its dedication to diversity and inclusion (D&I) by receiving the prestigious 'Best Workplace' award for five consecutive years at the D&I AWARD 2025. This recognition underscores the company's sustained efforts in fostering an inclusive corporate culture.
Understanding the D&I Award
The D&I AWARD is recognized as Japan's largest accolade for companies that prioritize D&I initiatives. This award evaluates participating companies based on a detailed 'Diversity Score,' assessing their efforts within different scales of business operations. The purpose of the D&I AWARD is threefold: to support companies engaged in D&I efforts, to update the understanding of D&I, and to broaden the community of advocates for D&I. Its ultimate vision is to cultivate a society where D&I is an inherent standard.
The assessment for the D&I Award involves five key areas: Gender Gap, LGBTQ+, Disability, Multicultural Coexistence, and Childcare/Caregiving. Each area is further analyzed through five dimensions: Declaration of Action, Education/Understanding Promotion, HR Systems, Community, and Work Style. Each dimension is evaluated against four criteria, resulting in a comprehensive score from a total of 100 checkpoints. The scoring dictates the level of recognition as follows:
- - Beginner: 1–20 points
- - Standard: 21–60 points
- - Advance: 61–80 points
- - Best Workplace: 81–100 points
In the category of large corporations, T-Gaia achieved the highest ratings that fulfill the 'Best Workplace' standards. This accomplishment places the company among leading organizations globally that actively promote D&I.
T-Gaia's Commitment to D&I
Since establishing the Diversity Promotion Group (now the DEIB & Well-being Promotion Team) in its Human Resources and General Affairs Department in 2014, T-Gaia has prioritized D&I as a critical aspect of its business strategy. In October of last year, the company moved to a more progressive 'DEIB Promotion Policy,' reaffirming its commitment to deepen its work in this area.
The DEIB Promotion Policy outlines T-Gaia's commitment to respecting individual differences, including age, gender, nationality, disabilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, and working styles. By embracing varied perspectives and values, T-Gaia aims to foster innovation and enhance the overall corporate culture. This policy reflects a comprehensive understanding of diverse values and focuses on raising employee awareness.
As T-Gaia looks to the future, the company continues to maintain its commitment to diversity and aims to contribute positively to society as a corporate group that prioritizes sustainable growth and enhanced corporate value.
