YAMAGIWA Makes its Debut at 3days of Design 2026 in Copenhagen

YAMAGIWA's First Appearance at 3days of Design 2026

In a remarkable turn of events, YAMAGIWA, a leading name in lighting solutions and furniture imports in Japan, made its grand debut at the prestigious 3days of Design event in Copenhagen, Denmark, from June 10 to 12, 2026. The company, headquartered in the bustling Minato area of Tokyo and led by CEO Shinya Matsukawa, unveiled two new lighting collections, the "O-LIGHT" and "TALIESIN® WHITE," to an international audience.

This presentation was part of the "FRAMING" exhibition program of 3days of Design, held in the historic Odd Fellow Palace, located in the heart of Copenhagen’s Kongens Nytorv district. The event attracted an impressive crowd of approximately 22,000 attendees, comprising design and industry professionals from both domestic and international backgrounds, showcasing a keen interest in what YAMAGIWA had to offer.

The Innovative "O-LIGHT"

Among the highlights of YAMAGIWA's showcase was the "O-LIGHT," a lighting collection created in collaboration with designer Taketoshi Takeuchi. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Japanese woodworking technique known as "mugiwappa," the collection was meticulously crafted in partnership with local artisans in Denmark. The use of domestically sourced cedar enhances the natural texture of the materials, bringing a serene presence to any space through the harmonious interplay of light, material, and the passage of time.

Designed to be more than just a light fixture, "O-LIGHT" elevates the ambiance of interiors, fusing cultural heritage with modern design aesthetics. Its gentle illumination and stylish form serve as a bridge between tradition and contemporary elegance.

Introducing "TALIESIN WHITE"

In addition to "O-LIGHT," YAMAGIWA introduced its latest addition to the TALIESIN series: "TALIESIN WHITE." This new color variant of Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic TALIESIN line retains its familiar architectural features while presenting a fresh, modern look that fits seamlessly into contemporary spaces. The white finish not only enhances its visual appeal but also embodies a versatile design ethic, making it suitable for a variety of settings.
