Danone Japan's Summer Health Initiative



On August 10, marking Danone BIO Day, Danone Japan held a significant event in the city of Tatebayashi, located in Gunma Prefecture. With rising summer temperatures, the company aimed to support local health management initiatives through the power of yogurt. The event featured Tatebayashi Mayor Yoshihiro Tada, who shared insights on the city's ongoing efforts to combat heatstroke. He emphasized that maintaining public health in such extreme conditions is crucial for the community.

Danone Japan introduced the importance of hydration and a balanced gut environment during the hot summer months, highlighting how yogurt can play a vital role. The premier product, the Danone BIO series with BE80, a type of bifidobacterium that is incredibly resilient in the presence of stomach acid, was a focal point of the presentation. To further demonstrate their commitment, Danone Japan's Tatebayashi factory manager donated 1,000 units of Danone BIO to the city.
