SHEIN and Sinotrans Forge Strategic Alliance to Revolutionize Logistics with NEV Technology

SHEIN and Sinotrans Join Forces in Logistics Innovation

In an exciting move for the logistics and e-commerce sectors, global online fashion retailer SHEIN has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sinotrans Limited, a renowned logistics service provider in China. This partnership aims to leverage new energy vehicles (NEVs) and digital innovation to streamline inter-site logistics, marking a significant step towards sustainable transportation solutions.

The Core of the Partnership

One of the primary initiatives under this collaboration is the introduction of a real-time tracking portal specifically designed for SHEIN's NEV drivers engaged in inter-site logistics operations in China. The portal will operate in tandem with five dedicated NEV charging stations managed by Sinotrans. By centralizing critical data—such as energy usage and fleet management information—this platform allows drivers and fleet managers to plan charging times and routes more efficiently.

SHEIN has steadily increased its NEV fleet size, growing from 125 vehicles in 2025 to approximately 220 vehicles this year, including those sourced from Sinotrans. Furthermore, Sinotrans is currently in the process of constructing two additional charging stations dedicated to SHEIN’s operations.

Previously, NEV drivers relied on personal experience or real-time searches to determine when and where to charge their vehicles. With SHEIN's advanced platform, however, a data-driven approach will pinpoint optimal charging times based on operational information, matching available charging spots with vehicle needs. This comprehensive integration of charging requirements, charger availability, and vehicle schedules aims to reduce unnecessary downtime and driving distances associated with charging station searches. Enhanced charging and routing strategies also assist fleet managers in optimizing charging costs and vehicle utilization.

Enhancing Operational Efficiency

The integration of digital platforms with charging infrastructure enables smoother collaborations across all aspects of EV fleet operations. By linking information regarding vehicles, routes, charging needs, and charger availability, the logistics planning process can seamlessly incorporate charging decisions, amplifying the capability of drivers and fleet managers to make informed operational choices.

As part of a broader memorandum of understanding, SHEIN and Sinotrans are also planning to explore battery swap services for NEVs at logistics sites and the use of electric heavy-duty trucks for medium to long-haul routes. This forward-thinking approach signifies a commitment to greener, more efficient logistics solutions that are essential for the modern supply chain.
