Eve Air Mobility and InvestSP Collaborate to Propel eVTOL Regulation and Infrastructure in Brazil

Eve Air Mobility and InvestSP Summit

On October 15, 2025, Eve Air Mobility, a company listed on NYSE and dedicated to Urban Air Mobility (UAM), teamed up with InvestSP to host a pivotal summit in São Paulo. The meeting gathered an array of stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, representatives from environmental and safety organizations, and industry operators, all focused on fostering the future of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft operations in Brazil.

The central theme of this strategic gathering was to outline the crucial steps necessary for the successful implementation of eVTOL operations in Brazil. A swift and robust launch is envisioned, with commercial flights expected to commence by 2027. The discussions revolved around several key topics such as regulatory frameworks, infrastructure needs like vertiports and charging stations, and essential workforce training within the UAM industry.

Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Air Mobility, emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, _"This meeting reinforces our commitment to working closely with authorities and strategic partners to facilitate the safe and efficient deployment of eVTOL in Brazil. We’re not just focused on aircraft development but also on creating a comprehensive ecosystem that encompasses infrastructure and workforce development."

One of the highlights of the event was Eve's announcement about its manufacturing facility in Taubaté, São Paulo, designed to produce up to 480 eVTOL units annually. With a stunning backlog of about 2,800 orders worldwide, valued around $14 billion, Eve is well-positioned to meet the burgeoning demands of the UAM sector. Each eVTOL model accommodates five occupants—one pilot and four passengers—with a maximum range of 100 kilometers, addressing the growing need for efficient intra-urban and regional transportation solutions.

Thiago Camargo, Executive Vice President of InvestSP, remarked on the advantages of the state: _"Eve selected the ideal location for eVTOL production due to its advanced infrastructure, skilled workforce, and an innovative-friendly business landscape. We aim to promote strategic integration between public and private sectors to ensure safe and sustainable operations."

Eve's innovations promise to drastically reduce travel times on significant urban routes. For instance, the journey from São Paulo’s southern region to Guarulhos International Airport, which typically takes up to 150 minutes by traditional means, can be condensed to just about 15 minutes via eVTOL aircraft. This remarkable speed has potential far beyond personal transport. Luiz Mauad, Vice President of Customer Services at Eve, noted, _"The eVTOL could revolutionize passenger commuting and positively impact critical services such as tourism, public safety, and healthcare, exemplified by the rapid transport of organs for transplants that could save lives and heighten efficiency in metropolises."
