FANCL Collaborates with Meiji Memorial Hall to Promote Healthy Eating through Fun Nutrition Events

Exciting Collaboration: FANCL and Meiji Memorial Hall Event

On August 16th and 17th, 2025, FANCL Inc. hosted a delightful nutrition education event at the Meiji Memorial Hall's temporary restaurant, "Beer Terrace Sekirei." This unique event aimed to educate families about enjoying a healthy diet through interactive activities involving FANCL's kale drink and mandarin juice from Ehime. A total of 119 children and their parents participated over the two days, experiencing an open-format event that encouraged free movement and exploration.

The event featured six nutrition classes led by FANCL employees, designed to present fundamental nutrition concepts in a fun, engaging manner. Using quizzes and interactive discussions, attendees learned about the three color food groups that support bodily functions: red for building the body, yellow for energy, and green for maintaining body balance. A significant point was made about Japan's vegetable deficit, raising awareness of the need for dietary improvement.

A highlight of the event was the introduction of kale, often referred to as the king of vegetables, and FANCL's kale drink, which features a whole 120g of fresh kale in each serving—meeting the daily recommended intake for green and yellow vegetables. Moreover, the kale used in these drinks is sourced from Ehime Prefecture, providing high-quality, local nutrition.

Adding to the excitement, special guest Mikyan, the Ehime Prefecture mascot, made an appearance, bringing smiles and energy to the event. Kids and adults alike cheered as they learned about the refreshing kale juice, especially when mixed with the popular mandarin juice, making for a delicious two-layer kale drink that participants enjoyed tasting together.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed their surprise at how enjoyable the FANCL kale drink is. Some remarked on the improvement in taste when mixed with mandarin juice, while others felt encouraged to introduce kale juice into their routine after seeing their children willingly drink it—an unexpected yet welcome outcome! Lively comments like, "I hope to meet Mikyan again!" echoed around the venue, culminating in cheerful group photos with the mascot to wrap up the engaging classes.

The overall aim of this event was to immerse children in the flavors of kale and mandarin juice, emphasizing the importance of consuming vegetables and fruits for nutrition while fostering a desire for healthy eating habits. Despite the summer heat, the beautiful environment at Meiji Memorial Hall provided a perfect backdrop for learning and relaxation.

FANCL will continue its commitment to enhancing healthy lifestyles through proper nutrition, actively pursuing various sustainability initiatives that emphasize the significance of adequate nutrient intake for everyone.
