Khazna Data Centers Forms Alliance with IDCA for Global Standards

In a significant move aimed at enhancing its operational excellence on a global scale, Khazna Data Centers has officially announced a strategic partnership with the International Data Center Authority (IDCA). As the largest data center operator in the Middle East, Khazna, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, seeks to align its operations with the internationally recognized standards set forth by IDCA. This alliance marks a pivotal step in Khazna’s ambition to establish itself as a leader in the rapidly evolving data center landscape.

Elevating Standards Across Operations

The partnership with IDCA will guide Khazna in standardizing various aspects of its operations, including data center design, service delivery, deployment of cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, and workforce development. The ultimate aim is to ensure that each element within Khazna's extensive portfolio meets IDCA's rigorous benchmarks for performance, resilience, and compliance.

In its commitment to advancing digital capabilities, Khazna is also laying the groundwork for the recently launched 5GW AI Hub in the UAE. With plans for global expansion that encompass key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Egypt, Türkiye, France, and Italy, Khazna is positioning itself as a critical player in the global digital infrastructure narrative.

A Vision for the Future

According to IDCA’s Chairman and CEO, Mehdi Paryavi, this alliance is transformational, not only for the Middle East but also for international standards of data centers. "Khazna is instrumental in the digital infrastructure evolution necessary for Cloud and AI technologies. By adopting our standards, they demonstrate a strong commitment to making a global impact," he emphasized.

Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna, echoed Paryavi's sentiments, emphasizing that the alignment with IDCA’s framework reflects an industry benchmark that comprehensively addresses the complexities of modern digital infrastructure. "This strategic collaboration enhances our leadership position in the MEA region and bolsters our global competitiveness, ensuring our infrastructure and operations align with the highest international standards," Alnaqbi stated.

Comprehensive Certification Process

The certification journey commenced on July 1, 2025, and encompasses thorough audits of Khazna’s infrastructure, operational procedures, and corporate governance systems. Teams from both IDCA and Khazna have been activated to oversee the compliance and certification program to ensure adherence to international standards.

Alnaqbi added, "Our mission has always been to provide trusted, future-ready infrastructure that drives large-scale digital transformation. As AI assumes a crucial role in our sector, our partnership with IDCA reinforces our commitment to building intelligent, efficient, and globally competitive data centers."

Paryavi further noted that the projected surge in data center capacity—from the current volume of around 55GW to a staggering 250 to 300GW by 2030—highlights the exponential growth in demand. This escalating requirement underscores the necessity for innovative players like Khazna, who are poised to meet these expanding needs effectively.
