Jodell Unveils Innovative Robotics Solutions Following Midea Group Investment at CIIF

Following a strategic investment from Midea Group, a notable player listed in the Fortune Global 500, Jodell Robotics made a remarkable appearance at the China International Industry Fair (CIIF). The company introduced its comprehensive range of integrated industrial execution products, showcasing three key innovations: the biomimetic five-fingered hand named 'Mozart', internally developed visuotactile sensors, and an advanced embedded intelligence data acquisition kit.

Product Highlights

The highlight of Jodell's new offerings is the Mozart robot hand, which features a fully distributed tactile detection design. Each finger is equipped with highly precise tactile sensors capable of capturing multidimensional data such as contact force and position in real time. By utilizing exclusive training and control algorithms developed by Jodell, the hand offers fine, flexible grip capabilities with high accuracy. This makes it particularly suitable for industries like semiconductors, electronic 3C, lithium batteries, and life sciences automation. It addresses practical challenges faced by industrial robots, enabling reliable deployment of embedded intelligence on precision manufacturing lines.

Expertise and Innovation

Jodell's founding team has a rich history, having contributed to the development of China's first space robot, and possesses nearly 30 years of aerospace engineering expertise. For the Mozart hand, Jodell has developed its own electric grippers and dexterous hands to achieve micron-level precision. On the sensory side, they are creating advanced visuotactile sensors in collaboration with Professor Gerald E. Loeb, the founder of SynTouch and a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences. They are leveraging the BioTac technology, similar to that used by Shadow Robot, to create human-like tactile sensors capable of detecting force, vibrations, and temperature. These sensors are designed to resist industrial electromagnetic interference, with mass production set to accelerate in Suzhou.

A Holistic Approach

Regarding data and cognition, Jodell has designed an embodied data platform along with an embodied brain that accumulates operational knowledge from real production data. This forms a complete system that ties together hand, eye, brain, and data capabilities. The standard modular execution units and industrial workstation setups bridge the 'last millimeter' between intelligence and the physical world, transforming embodied intelligence into verifiable factory productivity.

Jodell's portfolio now spans 17 product lines, exceeding 50 mass-produced products with annual production capacity surpassing 100,000 units. Catering to over 6,000 clients across dozens of countries, Jodell aims to provide robust robotic end effectors and aspires to become a leader in setting global standards for the embodied industrial intelligence execution layer. With these advancements, Jodell Robotics is poised to significantly influence the landscape of industrial automation, enhancing efficiency and precision in manufacturing processes worldwide.
